The Opportunity: Client Platform Engineering Manager
We are searching for an experienced and visionary Client Platform Engineering Manager to lead the foundational technical architecture teams across Heidi’s diverse product suite. This critical role is your chance to significantly impact how our products are built and scaled, ensuring excellence across all client surfaces.
You will lead the talented team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core frontend architecture that powers our desktop, mobile, and web applications. This includes ownership of our comprehensive design system, shared component library, sophisticated build tooling, and core platform capabilities essential for delivering high-quality, accessible, and consistent user experiences at scale.
Leading a high-leverage team, you will work horizontally across product squads, driving technical excellence, reducing duplication, and unlocking unprecedented developer velocity. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Solutions Engineering, and Sales to ensure enterprise-grade features are delivered reliably and efficiently. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping how Heidi’s platform scales to meet the demands of increasingly complex customer environments without sacrificing engineering productivity.
What You’ll Drive and Own:
Shape the Future of Healthcare Infrastructure:
Partner directly with engineering leadership to define and execute the strategic technical roadmap for Heidi’s client platforms.
Lead Frontend Platform Evolution:
Take comprehensive ownership of the technical strategy, development, and ongoing maintenance of our core Frontend Platform. This includes evolving our design system, shared UI components, performance monitoring tooling, and accessibility standards across all clients.
Champion Developer Velocity:
Architect and implement tooling, abstractions, and best practices that significantly improve the day-to-day efficiency and satisfaction of frontend engineers, allowing product teams to focus on delivering value faster.
Ensure Seamless Cross-Platform Experiences:
Collaborate deeply with Design and Product teams to ensure a unified, performant, and delightful user experience consistently across web, desktop, and mobile clients.
Cultivate Technical Excellence:
Actively promote and champion best practices in frontend architecture, automated testing, performance optimization, and accessibility standards throughout the engineering organization.
Guide Strategic Architectural Changes:
Lead the organization through major architectural transitions, migrations, or framework upgrades (e.g., mobile app refactors), ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Build and Develop a World-Class Team:
Recruit, mentor, and empower the engineers on the Client Platform team, fostering a collaborative, high-ownership, and growth-oriented environment.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Experience & Leadership:
8+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in a technical leadership or engineering management position.
Demonstrated history of successfully building, deploying, and scaling robust production systems in cloud environments, with a preference for AWS experience.
Technical Depth:
Deep expertise in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
Proficiency with modern monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
Experience with secrets management, service mesh architectures, and operating distributed systems.
Strong understanding of security best practices and experience navigating compliance requirements, particularly in regulated industries like healthcare.
Comfort and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

Previous experience working within the Healthtech sector, fast-paced startups, or other highly regulated environments.
