Join Our Engineering Leadership Team as Software Engineering Manager, AR Automation Platform

We are actively seeking a proven, hands-on Software Engineering Manager to take the helm of our critical AR Automation Platform team. This is a high-impact leadership position where you will be instrumental in driving the development of the highly scalable, reliable, and performant systems that form the backbone of our innovative Accounts Receivable automation capabilities.

You will lead multiple Agile squads, each empowered to deliver production-grade software releases with impressive frequency. Your leadership will be key in shaping architectural decisions, ensuring engineering excellence, and cultivating a vibrant culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Your Impact at Versapay: Key Responsibilities

Empower and Grow Your Team: Lead, manage, and mentor multiple software engineering squads, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment where engineers thrive and deliver their best work.

Drive Technical Vision & Execution: Provide hands-on technical leadership, actively participating in architecture design, sprint planning, code reviews, and defining technical specifications to guide your teams effectively.

Ensure High-Impact Delivery: Own the delivery pipeline, ensuring your squads consistently deliver high-quality, production-ready software releases in a timely manner.

Build Bridges Across Teams: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and other stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and maximize delivered business value.

Champion Engineering Craftsmanship: Instill and champion best practices across your teams, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security, and performance optimization.

Shape the Platform’s Future: Contribute meaningfully to the long-term strategic planning, roadmap definition, and resource allocation for the core AR Automation Platform.

Attract & Nurture Top Talent: Actively participate in the recruiting and onboarding process, building and developing a world-class engineering team.

What You’ll Bring to Our Team: Your Profile

Proven Leadership Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years successfully leading and managing engineering teams in a technical leadership role.

Robust Technical Foundation: A strong background building backend systems and experience with distributed architecture and cloud-native development on major platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Hands-On Problem Solving: A comfort level and willingness to dive into the details of code, architecture discussions, and technical challenges faced by your teams.

Agile Mastery: Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams operating with frequent, high-cadence release cycles.

Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Solid Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

Valuable Additions (Nice to Have):

Experience within the AR, FinTech, or broader enterprise automation platforms space.

Familiarity with technologies like React or Ruby on Rails.

Experience working with service-oriented architectures, event-driven systems, and data pipelines.

Prior success scaling engineering teams within a rapid-growth environment.
