The Role: Your Mission as a Solutions Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be a trusted advisor, guiding customers from onboarding to successful production deployments. You’ll be the bridge between our customers and our internal teams, advocating for their needs and shaping the future of our product.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive Customer Success: Serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring seamless onboarding and resilient production on Prefect Cloud and other paid products.
• Troubleshoot and Unblock: Diagnose and resolve complex orchestration issues, providing expert architecture reviews and performance tuning.
• Contribute to Enablement: Develop reference implementations, lead enablement sessions, and enhance our documentation to accelerate customer adoption.
• Participate in On-Call Rotation: Provide after-hours incident response to ensure timely support for our premium customers.
• Partner on Renewals & Expansions: Provide success metrics and technical insights to CSM teams, identifying opportunities for growth.
• Amplify Customer Feedback: Translate real-world insights into actionable product proposals, influencing our product roadmap.
• Measure Impact: Contribute to maintaining a high SLA adherence rate for response and resolution times.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience: 2+ years in a customer-facing engineering role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, Support Engineering, etc.)
• Python Expertise: 2+ years of experience writing and debugging production Python code, ideally in data-workflow or infrastructure contexts.
• Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) running containerized or serverless workloads.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to diagnose orchestration and performance issues in distributed systems.
• Workflow Orchestration Knowledge: Practical experience with Prefect, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Kubernetes & IaC Familiarity: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1+ level).
• On-Call Availability: Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.
