This position offers flexibility, potentially based in our Austin, TX corporate office (hybrid) or fully remote within the continental U.S.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing the financial clarity and strategic insights needed to navigate a complex, multi-system environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Reporting & Analysis Excellence
You will lead consolidated financial reporting efforts, synthesizing data from multiple systems and business units. This includes rigorous forecasting and in-depth analysis of key financial metrics such as orders, revenue, margins, operating income, cash flow, and working capital. You’ll perform critical month-end close activities, including journal entries and actual-to-plan variance analysis, translating complex data into insightful presentations for executive leadership.
Strategic Financial Modeling & Planning
Leveraging your advanced Excel skills and other tools, you’ll build sophisticated financial models to support planning and scenario analysis. You will partner closely with program and finance teams, providing financial guidance, monitoring budgets, and identifying key trends. Your analysis will directly support strategic planning initiatives across functional areas.
Systems & Process Improvement
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end creation and maintenance of advanced Power BI reports and dashboards, turning data into compelling visualizations that drive strategic financial decisions. You will also play a key role in supporting datamart and reporting system implementation projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial systems.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
Strong foundation in finance/accounting with a Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
A minimum of 6+ years of dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience.
Comprehensive knowledge across the full spectrum of FP&A, including P&L management, cash flow analysis, and working capital optimization.
Proven ability to build and maintain Power BI solutions, from data source integration to dashboard deployment.
Exceptional proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Significant experience in managing consolidated financials within complex multi-site or multi-ERP environments.
Desired Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Have):
Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software, such as OneStream.
Prior involvement in datamart or reporting system implementation projects.
Familiarity with government contract accounting principles (FAR/DFARS, cost-type programs).
Understanding of program finance methodologies.
Experience with software revenue recognition (ASC 606 or similar).
Background in the defense, aerospace, or tactical communications industries.
