The Opportunity: Lead Independent Contractor Driver Recruitment

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Lead Recruiter to play a pivotal role in expanding our vital network of independent contractor drivers. Reporting to leadership, you will support and guide our dedicated driver recruitment team, developing innovative strategies to attract, assess, and onboard the skilled professionals who form the backbone of our reliable healthcare logistics operations.

This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere, while contributing to a fast-paced, high-impact environment. If you have a proven track record in recruiting independent contractors, particularly within logistics or transportation, and are ready to step into a leadership capacity, this exciting role is for you.

What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead Recruiter, you won’t just recruit; you’ll help shape our talent acquisition strategy for our most critical role – the independent contractor driver. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading Strategy & Sourcing

  • Develop, implement, and refine innovative sourcing strategies to continuously attract high-quality independent contractor drivers across the nation.
  • Leverage a variety of recruitment platforms, social media, industry networks, and creative outreach methods to build a robust pipeline.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities in the transportation and logistics recruitment landscape.

Team Guidance & Development

  • Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to the Driver Recruiter team, fostering their growth and ensuring consistent performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges and celebrate successes.

Candidate Experience & Onboarding

  • Oversee and conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and alignment with our service standards.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient candidate journey from initial contact through the onboarding process.
  • Work closely with third-party administrators and internal partners to monitor and facilitate timely onboarding completion for new independent contractor drivers.

Building Relationships

  • Cultivate strong, positive relationships with potential and engaged independent contractor drivers, fostering a sense of partnership and support.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex candidate or onboarding issues.

Performance & Optimization

  • Utilize recruitment data and analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Provide regular, insightful reports on recruitment metrics and progress to management.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and optimize recruitment processes and tools.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in independent contractor recruitment.

What You’ll Bring: Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive recruitment experience, with a strong, demonstrable focus on recruiting independent contractor drivers.
  • A deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, particularly as it relates to contracted services.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with recruitment software, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and sourcing tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Experience guiding or mentoring other recruiters is a significant plus.

Location:

Remote (Work from anywhere)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Standard business hours)

Compensation:

$70,000 Per Year
