The Opportunity: Shape the Future of Brave on iOS

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of Brave on iOS. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the iOS version of our browser, working alongside a team of talented engineers, privacy experts, and security specialists. This is your chance to contribute to a highly-rated app and help us take the Brave browsing experience to the next level. We need your expertise to build cutting-edge, privacy respecting technology!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Brave browser for iOS.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with the iOS team to establish and improve iOS development best practices.
• Partner with privacy and security experts to ensure a secure and private experience for our users.
• Engage with the open-source community on GitHub, guiding contributors and reviewing external submissions.
• Contribute back to the open-source community by improving relevant libraries and tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in iOS development.
• Proficiency in Swift/SwiftUI, Objective-C, and C++.
• Expertise in Xcode and related instrumentation tools.
• Ability to programmatically create user interfaces.
• Experience working in a distributed development team.
• Comfortable contributing to and collaborating within an open-source environment.
• A Computer Science degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred.

Our Tech Stack:

We leverage a diverse tech stack, including Swift, C++, Objective-C++, and JavaScript, utilizing core technologies such as SwiftUI, UIKit, WebKit, and CoreData. Our project is built on top of Chromium core services.
