Your Opportunity: Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cutting-edge infrastructure and applications within AWS public cloud environments. Adopting a robust DevOps mindset and adhering to best practices, you will apply your world-class expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and automation to build resilient, scalable, and efficient solutions.
You will play a key part in enabling seamless deployments, establishing comprehensive monitoring, and building automated remediation systems that ensure the reliability and performance of our global financial platform.
What You’ll Build & Manage
In this impactful role, you will leverage your expertise to:
Automate infrastructure and platform services within our AWS Cloud environments using powerful Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Design and manage robust Continuous Deployment pipelines and workflows utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
Proactively monitor application and service health across our environments. Participate in the on-call rotation, swiftly resolving issues and implementing strategic preventative measures.
Configure and manage advanced observability tools including Instana, SumoLogic, and Datadog to ensure comprehensive application performance monitoring and seamless alert integration with platforms like Slack and PagerDuty.
Embrace continuous learning, exploring and integrating technologies outside your immediate domain to drive innovation and enhance solution robustness.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to facilitate smooth system development and deployment cycles.
Work effectively as part of a global team, providing essential on-call support across different time zones.
What You’ll Bring
To thrive in this role and contribute meaningfully to our mission, you should possess:
A minimum of 5-7 years of overall experience in the fields of DevOps and infrastructure automation.
At least 4+ years specializing in cloud infrastructure automation, preferably within AWS environments.
Solid experience and a deep understanding of modern microservices-based cloud architecture.
Proven prior experience working closely with Product, Engineering, and SecOps teams, contributing to ‘shift-left’ strategies and implementing effective CI/CD tools and solutions.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes in production settings.
Experience with leading Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD.
Proficiency with Logging and Monitoring tools such as SumoLogic, Splunk, Datadog, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely document and explain complex technical details and concepts.
Flexibility and a proactive attitude to pitch in and support wherever needed across programs and teams.
Strong influence, teamwork, and collaboration skills, coupled with sound problem-resolution, judgment, negotiating, and decision-making abilities.
Experience working effectively with global teams distributed across multiple time zones.
A B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of professional development training and experience.
