You will thrive if you possess a deep passion for tackling complex operational challenges and hold comprehensive knowledge of interconnected systems and services. Your ability to keenly identify process inefficiencies, design elegant, automated solutions, and communicate technical changes effectively across teams will be paramount. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows, significantly reduce operational burden, and empower engineering teams to deliver new capabilities more efficiently and reliably.
During critical incidents, you will demonstrate unwavering composure under pressure, skillfully orchestrating recovery efforts while knowing when and how to escalate for specialized expertise. Your collaborative nature and exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences will be key to turning strategic initiatives into tangible reality.
What You’ll Do
As a Staff Network Reliability Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
• Design and implement robust automation solutions to significantly enhance system reliability and service stability through continuous process optimization and re-engineering.
• Deploy and maintain our critical hybrid infrastructure, spanning both physical data center environments and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), ensuring the optimal delivery of compute, storage, and network resources.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce critical Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to guarantee the ongoing health and performance standards of our production services.
• Create and maintain advanced deployment tools and platforms that empower engineering teams to efficiently and safely release new services to production environments.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to implement operational best practices, fostering a culture of service ownership and substantially reducing operational overhead.
• Mentor and guide colleagues by providing expert technical guidance, facilitating knowledge sharing sessions, and supporting their professional development.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices through dedicated continuous learning, professional development activities, and active community engagement.
The Experience You Bring
To be successful in this role, you should bring:

• An undeniable passion for automation and a knack for solving complex, multifaceted technical challenges.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, and Bash, alongside mastery of automation tools including Ansible, Terraform, Git Actions, Jenkins, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive production experience managing enterprise network hardware from leading vendors like Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Mist, encompassing both wired and wireless L2/L3 equipment.
• A comprehensive understanding of core networking protocols, including BGP, ISIS, MC-LAG, TCP/UDP, DHCP, and DNS, with practical experience in both IPv4 and IPv6 implementations.
• Proven experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and their associated automation services.
• Working knowledge of LAN technologies such as VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.3ad, and foundational understanding of optical networking concepts (DWDM, SFP variants, fiber optics).
• Hands-on experience implementing integrated RADIUS authentication across diverse network access systems, including Global Protect VPN, ZTP, wireless controllers, and 802.1X switch port access.
• Proficiency with network management tools, specifically including Panorama.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly when leading or contributing to incident response efforts.
• Comfort and experience with iterative development practices, including frequent testing and deployment cycles.
