Technical Documentation Writer Opportunity
Are you a passionate writer with a knack for translating complex technical details into clear, user-friendly content? Motive is seeking a talented Technical Documentation Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in creating and maintaining Help Center articles that empower our users to maximize the value of our innovative products.
You’ll collaborate closely with product and support teams to gather insights and craft compelling content for a non-technical audience. Beyond writing, you’ll contribute to knowledge management initiatives, suggest improvements to the Help Center, and ensure our content is accurate and optimized for search. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the customer experience and contribute to a rapidly growing company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Craft, update, and maintain high-quality Help Center articles, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Prepare drafts in our Content Management System (CMS), including editing images and submitting content for review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product features and develop relevant support content.
- Contribute to technical initiatives such as Help Center coding (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), SEO optimization, data analysis, and chatbot flow design.
- Identify content gaps, implement process improvements, and own projects to enhance the Help Center and customer experience.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in technical writing and a passion for helping users succeed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Writing, Media, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with SaaS and/or Hardware products.
- Proficiency with the Google product suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with a Content Management System (CMS) such as Zendesk, WordPress, or HubSpot.
- Experience with SEO implementation best practices.
