The Opportunity: Lead Complex AI/Data Projects

This is a pivotal role where you’ll define project strategy, navigate complex business landscapes, and ensure seamless delivery in a fast-paced environment. If you thrive on proactive problem-solving, team leadership, and managing expectations across diverse stakeholders, this is the role for you.

Where You’ll Work: Flexibility & Connectivity

This position offers significant flexibility. You can work 100% remotely if you are currently living in LATAM, or you are welcome to join us at one of our offices if preferred.

What You’ll Deliver: Driving Project Success

As a Technical Project Manager at Blend, you will be the central figure guiding cross-functional project teams from kick-off through successful completion. Your key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing End-to-End Delivery: Taking ownership of the successful execution and delivery of project objectives across client engagements.

Strategic Planning & Management: Developing and managing comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocations, milestones, financial forecasts, and insightful status reports.

Stakeholder Communication & Expectation Management: Serving as the primary point of contact, expertly managing communications and expectations for both internal stakeholders and our valued clients. You’ll provide frequent, clear updates, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.

Risk & Issue Resolution: Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID). Your ability to anticipate challenges and initiate collaborative problem-solving will be key to keeping projects on track.

Quality Assurance & Client Satisfaction: Ensuring the highest quality of project delivery, monitoring ongoing performance, and championing client satisfaction throughout the engagement.

Guidance & Team Leadership: Collaborating with, mentoring, and providing guidance to other project managers within the organization.

Navigating Complexity: Interpreting guidelines from diverse stakeholders and making sound decisions even in non-standard situations to ensure project momentum.

What You’ll Bring: Your Expertise & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess:

Extensive Project Management Experience: A minimum of 10+ years managing IT product-related deliverables, specifically collaborating closely with development and/or data teams.

Complex Project Leadership: Proven success managing large, diverse projects and parallel workstreams, particularly when engaging directly with external clients.

Team Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members effectively.

Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Your ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely is paramount.

Adaptability: The capacity to thrive and adapt quickly in dynamic project environments with evolving requirements.

Tool Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with industry-standard project management tools like Jira and Confluence is essential.

Agile Mastery: Deep practical experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, or other) is required. Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies is also valuable.

Bonus Points:

• Experience leading GenAI, ML, or Data Engineering projects is highly desired.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks is a nice-to-have.

Language Proficiency:

You’ll need excellent written and verbal English for seamless communication with our global teams and clients, including potential collaboration with US clients in PST time zones or stakeholders in India.
