The Opportunity: Telehealth Medical Practitioner

As a Telehealth Medical Practitioner at Alternaleaf, you will leverage your expertise to provide high-quality consultations to a diverse patient base. You will play a crucial role in:

• Conducting comprehensive telehealth consultations.
• Managing clinical assessments, prescriptions (S4 & S8), and follow-up appointments.
• Collaborating with nurses and support teams to ensure streamlined patient care.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation and adhering to compliance standards within our digital environment.
• Contributing to clinical training, peer education, and governance initiatives.
• Operating effectively within a structured roster, with availability during peak hours.
• Utilizing digital tools to optimize patient outcomes and enhance service efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We seek adaptable and dependable doctors who are passionate about delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced, digital-first environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

• MBBS or equivalent and unrestricted AHPRA registration (Minimum PGY4).
• Experience in emergency, urgent care, high-volume GP, or telehealth settings (highly regarded).
• Exceptional time management skills, capable of confidently managing 10-15 minute consultations.
• Familiarity with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulation, and medico-legal obligations.
• Strong clinical judgment, with an evidence-based and harm-reduction approach.
• Excellent documentation and administrative skills.
• Comfort working with multiple digital platforms and navigating technology efficiently.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to team collaboration and patient continuity.
