About the Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be the driving force behind our data strategy, shaping our vision and ensuring effective data utilization across the organization. This critical role involves not only leading and mentoring high-performing data teams but also actively participating in the analytical process, digging into the data to uncover hidden opportunities. You’ll be empowered to drive data-driven decision-making at every level, from product development to marketing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Inspire: Manage and develop a team of talented data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Data Visualization & Storytelling: Craft compelling visualizations that clearly communicate complex insights to diverse audiences, including executives, product teams, and marketing leaders.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Business Development, Data Science, Finance) to align data and analytics initiatives with overarching business goals.
• Proactive Opportunity Identification: Leverage your curiosity and analytical skills to proactively identify opportunities for business improvement and innovation, uncovering insights that were previously unknown.
• Product Insight & Personalization: Refine our product analytics approach, analyze user behavior and experiment data, and translate insights into a personalized product roadmap.
• Marketing Optimization: Employ advanced analytical techniques to measure the effectiveness of marketing investments, identify high-growth segments, and optimize our investment mix.
• Data Strategy & Governance: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy, oversee the design and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and warehouses, and ensure data quality and governance.
• Dynamic Modeling & Experimentation: Own strategies involving dynamic models, price elasticity analyses, and experimentation to drive tangible business outcomes.
• Industry Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and leverage emerging technologies to continuously improve our data systems and drive innovation.
• Drive Analytics Strategy: Lead the charge in shaping our analytics strategy, delivering high-impact insights that influence critical decisions.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in data and analytics, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing data teams and cloud-based data platforms.
• Deep expertise in working with large, complex datasets, predictive analytics, machine learning, and advanced analytical tools.
• Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and A/B testing platforms (e.g., Mixpanel).
• Experience leading the development of robust and scalable data platforms to support organizational growth.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business insights for both technical and non-technical audiences, including the C-suite.
• Strong knowledge of modern technology stacks for comprehensive data and analytics platforms.
• Experience within the consumer tech industry, particularly B2C, mobile, and influencer spaces, is highly desirable.
